Logo Design Inspiration | Essential Tips for Professional Logo...

Logo Design Inspiration | A logo is not only some colors, fancy fonts and lines glued together. It is a brand’s identity, to the extent that, more often than not, a logo can be more identifiable than the actual brand’s name. A brand has been known as the name, logo, that differentiates a product or a service form others. Logo design has evolved in quite an art and skill over the period and it takes a lot of good techniques to master it. For a logo to become recognizable it should have a simple, yet appropriate form that conveys the intended message of the business.

Creating a memorable logo, along with good placement, helps lead to the logo becoming more quickly and easily recognized amongst the target audience.

1. Be Simple | Logo Design Inspiration

A complicated logo can be difficult to reproduce and more importantly, difficult to remember. Better to have a simple logo for your main design, and a tuned-up version (like a beauty shot for example) when a more complex version is appropriate, and/or the reproduction medium allows. As a rule of thumb, simple logos are often more memorable. For example: Nike, Apple, McDonalds, etc. A memorable logo will as well aid to brand recognition. The more lines, shapes, stories, colors, and fonts you have in your logo, the less serious you look. If being unserious is part of your brand then feel free to break this rule. Remember your logo isn’t the complete story; it’s a single unifying thought.

2. Use Color Carefully | Logo Design Inspiration

The crucial element is evoking the right message and the right emotions in your desired customers. The colors in your logo can serve as mighty psychological triggers to make customers believe your services are the best choice for their business the second they lay eyes on them. The key is using the colors that evoke remedying feelings people desire when looking for those types of services. Choosing a color palette is one of the most crucial parts of logo design. Avoid bright, flashy colors – there is an explanation why you don’t see very many logos that are neon orange and yellow. Typically designers stick with three or four primary colors, and assign each main element of the logo its own color.

3. Be Unique | Logo Design Inspiration

This is one of those often repeated but rarely followed tips. Today’s business landscape is flooded with thousands of companies trying to break through and have their brand name recognized. A unique logo is the way that you can finally stand out in a sea of competitors and have your customers immediately recognize what you are about. A lot can be said with a simplified symbol and makes all the difference in how successful your company truly is. How does a logo rise to prominence as a brand’s identity; by being uniquely identifiable? You want your business logo to have a certain “wow” effect to it that makes sure people will remember it. Because when they remember your logo, they’re remembering your business. Your logo is synonym and a summary for your complete brand.

4. Know Your Audience | Logo Design Inspiration

Naturally, you want to be attracted with your logo (we’ve known times were people are reluctant to use their logo as they suddenly no longer ‘like’ it). On the other hand, keep in mind that your logo is to appeal to your customers, and should be created with them in mind. How you “position” the logo should be appropriate for its target audience. For example, a child-like font choice and colors would be appropriate for a logo for a children’s toy store, not so much for a law firm.
